A popular upgrade amongst VW MK5 Golf GTI owners as this factory fitted VW MK6 Golf R turbocharger is a DIRECT REPLACEMENT and upgrade over the smaller Borg Warner K03 turbocharger that is fitted from factory on standard GTI models.
Our own testing has shown 215 wheel KW & 405nm of torque on 98 octane fuel on a 2007 VW MK5 Golf GTI fitted with a Borg Warner OEM K04 turbocharger, VW MK6 Golf R fuel injectors, a downpipe, intercooler and intake.
Gains of over 50% can be made when paired with the appropriate modifications and tuning.
